ARCH (Antibiotic Research in Care Homes) is a multi-disciplinary research collaboration investigating how we can safely improve antibiotic prescribing in care homes.
There is general agreement that antibiotic use in care homes could and should be reduced to help combat the growing global problem of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
The ARCH Study was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), working in partnership with the Department of Health and the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC), through the Cross Council Initiative on Tackling AMR.
